Celaid Therapeutics, a Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Japan-based provider of a selective ex vivo hematopoietic stem cell expansion platform and related therapies, raised approx. USD 2.6M in the second close of its Series B funding.
Backers included Shionogi and Co., Ltd. and Teikoku Ventures, Inc.
The raise brought the total amount to approx. USD 22.1M.
The company intends to use the funds for manufacturing, safety assessment, clinical development, and regulatory activities to support the IND application and initiation of U.S. clinical trials for CLD-001, as well as to strengthen its proprietary platform for new therapeutic modalities.
