IIT-I & IFCI Venture join hands to connect startups with funding channels

Indore: IIT Indore’s DRISHTI CPS Foundation has tied up with IFCI Venture Capital Funds Limited to connect eligible startups with funding schemes, investors and commercialisation opportunities, while individual investments will continue to depend on scheme norms and approvals.The MoU will cover startup identification, investment readiness, business pitching, investor linkages, industry connections and support for taking technologies from validation to market.“At IIT Indore, we believe that innovation should translate into meaningful societal impact. This collaboration will strengthen the journey from research and technology development to funding and commercialization,” said IIT Indore director Prof Suhas Joshi.The two organisations will also explore linkages with govt-backed funds managed by IFCI Venture, including the Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes, Venture Capital Fund for Backward Classes, SAGE Venture Fund and Ambedkar Social Innovation and Incubation Mission.Startups seeking support under these funds must meet the respective eligibility criteria and undergo due diligence and approval processes.IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation project director I A Palani said the partnership aimed at creating stronger institutional links between technology innovation, funding mechanisms and market opportunities.DRISHTI is a technology translation research park supported by the department of science and technology and works in digital healthcare and deep-tech innovation.
